Collect your favourite restaurants and share them with friends

Most people have a list of restaurants they would recommend, spread across notes, screenshots and chats. On a shared map you find them again.

Recommendations in one place

"Where shall we eat?" Someone usually knows the answer, but it is never written down where you can find it again: a screenshot from last year, a message in the family chat, a tip from colleagues nobody quite remembers. In Traveto every restaurant is a point on the map, with a note explaining why it is there.

  • One note per restaurant: what to order, whether to book, where there is room for a bigger group
  • Your own categories by cuisine or occasion, with a colour or symbol on the map
  • Ratings and comments from the others who have been there
  • Rating, photos and map link are added automatically for restaurants listed on Google

Collecting together

A restaurant map gets better with everyone who adds their recommendations. Invite friends, family or colleagues to the map, and every entry shows who added it. If someone would rather pass on single tips, they send them as a friend: they land in your inbox, and you decide whether they go on the map.

At home and on the road

The same map works for your own city and for travel. The trattoria from last summer, the wine bar someone recommended for Lisbon, the café at the station for a connection: on the phone the map opens first with the list below, so you see straight away what is nearby.

Common questions about the restaurant list

How does a restaurant get onto the map?

By name and town, or by pasting a link shared from Google Maps. For restaurants listed on Google, the rating, photos and map link are added automatically.

Can friends add their recommendations?

Yes, in two ways: invite them to the map and they add places themselves, each under their name. Or they send you single places, which land in your inbox for you to add or not.

Can I sort restaurants by cuisine or occasion?

With your own categories: Italian, vegetarian, brunch, lunch or “for groups”. A place can carry several categories, one of them as the main category in the centre of the map pin. Search filters by them.

Do others see my ratings?

Only the members of the map. If you share a map publicly, only places and categories are visible there, with no ratings, comments or names.
