First the question of where you stay — and then, every morning, the question of where to today. Both sit side by side: the places to stay, and the places for the days in between — with what is booked next to what is still open.
Motorcycle tour
No base: a different place every night, and the road in between is the holiday. The plan is therefore a sequence of legs, and the map shows the one you are on, with its number and its status.
Camping
The site is the destination, not an address to sleep at: it is named after the bay it sits on, and how long you need to get there is decided not by the distance alone, but also by what you are towing.
